Step One: Remove the stock wheels and tires.

Step Two: Bolt each adapter to the car using the two Socket Head Cap Screws provided. The third bolt is actually a longer Wheel Bolt which passes through the wheel, through the adapter and is screwed into the hub, but don't worry about it for now.

Torque the adapter bolts to 70 foot-pounds. It's easiest to have a helper hold the brake pedal while doing this. Be sure to use a dab of Anti-Sieze Compound on ALL of your bolts.

OK, now you should be looking like this. Next step, measure your lug bolts..

Each wheel is held to the car by four shorter lug bolts which thread directly into the adapter, and one long lug bolt which passes through the adapter and threads into the hub. For additional security consider getting lock bolts for your "long bolts" as shown here.

You will need to source 12x1.50 lug bolts in the correct length and shoulder type (Ball or Cone) for your specific wheels. We buy them from the good folks at RAD USA.

IMG0396 IMG0395

The short bolts need to have between 15mm and 20mm free to thread into the adapter plate.

USE ANTI-SIEZE ON ALL BOLTS, and TORQUE ALL TO 70 FT-LBS. OVERTORQUING MAY DAMAGE YOUR WHEELS.ADAPTERS OR VEHICLE AND CAUSE AN UNSAFE CONDITION.

Wheels MUST be periodically removed to retorque adapters and lug bolts.

YOU MUST CHECK YOUR LUG BOLT LENGTH BEFORE ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION! Failure to confirm length and/or use of wrong length bolts may cause major injury and damage.

To check the length, insert your lug bolts into the wheel and measure the protrusion. The long bolt needs to have between 35mm and 40mm free to thread through the adapter and into the hub.

OK, lets all take another look at the adapters.. Hopefully it's obvious that the long bolt goes in the top hole, and the shorter ones go in the other four threaded holes in the adapter. If that's not obvious to you, stop immediately and go seek the services of someone wth a Clue, because you're probably going to hurt yourself here.

For the rest of us, it's just like installing a normal old wheel.. Again, ANTi-SIEZE everything, TORQUE TO 70 FT/LBS WITH A TORQUE WRENCH. NO IMPACT WRENCHES!!

Mercedes OEM "Take-off's" are a rich hunting ground for really well made, good looking wheels..
